do-it Adding A New Customer


1.Click on Main Menu on the Main Screen.  
 
2.Click the Customers icon.  
 
3.Click the Add New Customer button.  
 
4.Enter the Customer Name and then hit the Tab or Enter key to enter customer information (address, phone numbers, contact, etc)  
 
5.Select the desired customer type from the Customer Type drop-down list. Click on the editlistbutton button to add a new customer type if type needed is not in the drop-down list.  
 
6.Select the source of the this customer lead from the Lead Source drop-down list. Click on the editlistbutton button to add a new lead source if the one needed is not in the drop-down list.  
 
7.Fill in any information you want in the custom fields area.  
 
8.Check the Flag For Follow Up check box to remind you to follow up with this customer. You can also enter the number of days to follow up in.  
 
9.Edit the Profit and Overhead percentages or accept the defaults.  
 
10.Click the Options button and select View Map to locate the customer's address (internet connection is required).  
 
11.Click the Options button and select Get Directions to view or print shortest or fastest route to customer's address (internet connection is required).  
 
12.Click the Options button and select Add To QuickBooks® to add the customer to your QuickBooks® company file.  
 
13.Click the Options button and select View / Add Notes to add any information or correspondence that you have with the customer. The Date and Time will automatically be displayed beside each individual note. Each customer can have multiple notes.  
 
14.Click the Options button and select Print to print this or any other customers. (See Printing Customers)  
 
15. Click the Options button and select Add New Project For Customer to add a new project for this customer. (See Adding A New Project).  

do-it Adding A New Project

1.Click on Main Menu on the Main Screen.  
 
2.Click the Projects icon.  
 
3.Click the Options button and select Add New Project.  
 
4.Select the customer that this project belongs to from the Customer drop-down list.  
 
5.Click on the editlistbutton button if the customer is not on the list and you need to add a new customer (See Adding A New Customer)  
 
6.The selected customer's information will automatically be added to the project information. Edit this as required.  
 
7.Enter a name for the project in the Project Name field.  
 
8.Continue to enter other projects information or make the necessary changes. (address, phone numbers, contact, etc)  
 
9.Select the type of project this is from the Project type drop-down list. Click on the editlistbutton button if project type you want is not on the list.  
 
10.Select the foreman for this project from the Foreman drop-down list.  
 
11.Enter the date that the estimate for this project is due in the Est. Due Date field.  
 
12.Fill in any information you want in the custom fields area.  
 
13.Click the Options button and select View Map to locate the project. (Internet connection is required)  
 
14.Click the Options button and select Get Directions to view or print the shortest or fastest route to the project site.  
 
15.Click the Options button and select Add To QuickBooks® to add the project to your QuickBooks® company file.  
 
16.Enter any notes about the project in the Notes field.  
 
17.If you are using the Custom tax method the tax setup options will be visible. Edit the tax information or accept the defaults.  
 
18.Click the Options button and select Add Linked Document to add any related documents or files you have on your computer to this project.  
 
19.Click the Options button and select Add New Estimate For Project to add a new estimate for that project. (See Creating A New Estimate). You can also add a new estimate from the Main Screen.  
 
20.Click the Options button and select View Photos to add any photos you have of the project. (Before photos maybe)  
 
21. Click the Options button and select Print to print this or any other project. (See Printing Projects)
