To export a cost book select Export Current Quick Estimator Cost Book from the Import / Export menu on the tool bar at the top of the screen. This will open the Export Cost Book screen shown below.
Click the
button to choose a location and file name for the exported cost book. These files will have a .cbf file extension. This will open a screen like the one shown below.
Browse to the location where you want to save the file and enter a file name. Then click the Save button.
You can also choose just to only export items from a particular supplier by choosing a supplier screen the the Filter By Supplier drop-down list. The default setting when you open this screen is "< All >". If you do choose a supplier other than "< All >" no Assemblies or Super Assemblies will be exported.
Click the Export button to export the cost book. Unless the cost book was very large the file should fit on a floppy disk or it could be easily emailed.
Click the Close button when you are done.
