Clicking Miscellaneous
onestep Project Schedule on the Menu Bar will display your project schedule. The Project Schedule allows you to graphically view and adjust your project schedule. Each project is represented by a bar. The color of the bar will depend on the status of the project, Pending, Accepted Not Started, In Progress and Completed.

There are two ways you can adjust each bar. The first is by clicking with the left mouse button anywhere on the bar and dragging it forwards or backwards. This will change the start date and end date but the duration will stay the same. The second way is to place the mouse pointer over either end of the bar until it changes to a vertical line with a single arrow pointing off of it and then clicking with the left mouse button and dragging it to the required date. This will adjust the start or end depending on which end of the bar you dragged and the duration of the project.

You can also double-click a bar to open the Project Schedule screen. From here you can change the status of the project, set the start and end dates or have Quick Estimator™ 2005 calculate the end date for you by entering the start date, the hours worked per day and the crew size.

You can use the horizontal scroll bar to move the schedule area backwards or forward in time and the vertical scroll bar to move up or down through your projects. The most recent projects are always at the top of the schedule display area.

Clicking the Options
button will display the drop-down menu shown below.

, Declined, or Completed check boxes.

You can enter a Start Date and an End Date for the project using the drop-down calendars. If you want you can just enter the start date and have Quick Estimator™ 2005 calculate the end date for you. Quick Estimator™ 2005 will use the estimated man-hours from the estimate to calculate the end date and the duration. You can set the Default Hours Worked Per Day and Default Crew Size on the Defaults screen. If you change your mind about the hours worked per day or the crew size, just edit them as required and click the Calculate End Date button.
