Upgrading From A Previous Version
Top  Previous  Next

If you are upgrading from any version prior to 4.0, the new version will be installed separately rather than replacing your old version. This means the old version will still work. This will allow you to try out the 30 day trial of the new version without affecting your existing version.

Your data file will need to be upgraded to work with the new version. This will be done when you first open your data file with the new version. You must make a backup copy of your data file before opening it in the new version. This is specially true if you are only trying out the 30 day trial of the new version.

If you current version is before version 3.0 your data file will first be upgraded to version 3.0 and then upgraded to version 4.0.

do-it Important Notice About Replication

If you have been using the replication feature in Quick Estimator™ 2003, upgrading your data file to version 4.0 will convert it back to normal data file. You will need to setup replication again. See the Replication topic to learn more about setting up replication.
