Creating A New Estimate

| 1. | Click on Main Menu on the Main Screen.

| 2. | Click the Estimates Icon.
|

| 3. | Click the Add New Estimate.
|

| 4. | Select the project that this estimate belongs to from the Project drop-down list.

| 6. | The Date will default to the current date, change it if needed.

| 7. | Select the estimator for this estimate from the Estimator drop-down list. If you have set a Default Estimator on the Defaults section of the Setup / Defaults screen, then that default will be entered for you.

| 8. | Select the introduction for this estimate from the Introduction drop-down list. If you have set a Default Introduction on the Defaults section of the Setup / Defaults screen, then that default will be en

| 9. | Select the terms for this estimate from the Terms drop-down list. If you have set a Default Terms on the Defaults section of the Setup / Defaults screen, then that default will be entered for you.

| 10. | Select the warranty you want to use for this estimate from the Warranty drop-down list. If you have set a Default Warranty on the Defaults section of the Setup / Defaults screen, then that default will be entered for you.

| 11. | Click the Options button and select View / Edit Legal Notice to enter or edit the legal notice for this estimate. If you have set a Default Legal Notice on the Defaults section of the Setup / Defaults screen, then that default will be entered for you.

|
| 12. | Click the Options button and select Custom Fields to enter information in any custom fields you have setup.
|
|
|
| 13. | Enter the number of days the estimate is valid for in the Valid For Days field. If you have set a Default Estimate Valid For Days on the Defaults section of the Setup / Defaults screen, then that default will be entered for you.

| 1. | First select the category by clicking any of the five buttons. If you have selected Not Grouped or Grouped By Assembly in the Item List View drop-down list then these buttons will not be visible.

| 3. | Select or enter a variation or type in the Variation / Type drop-down list. You are not confined to what is on the list. If you have entered a Default Variation for the item in the cost book, then that variation will have been entered for you.

| 4. | Select or enter a task in the Task drop-down list. You are not confined to what is on the list. If you have entered a Default Task for the item in the cost book, then that task will have been entered for you.

|
| 5. | Select a supplier from the Supplier drop-down list. If you have entered a Default Supplier for the item in the cost book, then that supplier will have been entered for you.
|
|
|
| 6. | The Unit will have been entered for you, only change it if needed. If you change the unit you would also need to change the Unit Cost.
|
|
|
| 7. | Enter the quantity for the item in the Quantity field and hit the Tab or Enter key. The Total Cost, Profit, Overhead and taxes will be calculated. If you used the Cost Book Item Selector to add an item then the quantity will already be entered.

|
| 8. | Repeat for each item you want to add to the estimate.
|
|
|
| 9. | When finished click the Print button to print copies for the customer and yourself.

| 1. | Click the Options button and select Add / View Assemblies. This will open the Add Assemblies screen where you can add multiple assemblies at once.

| 2. | Select the assemblies you want and enter the quantity for each.
|
|
|
| 3. | Click the Close button when done. All the items belonging to the assemblies you added will have been added to the estimate.

| 4. | Edit the items in the estimate or add more if needed.
|

| 1. | Click the Options button and select Add / View Super Assemblies. This will open the Add Super Assemblies screen where you can add multiple super assemblies at once.

| 2. | Select the super assemblies you want and enter the quantity for each.
|
|
|
| 3. | Click the Close button when done. All the items belonging to the assemblies and their items that are part of the super assemblies you added will have been added to the estimate.

| 4. | Edit the items in the estimate or add more if needed.
