Click here for a comparison between the two versions.   Added customer view to estimate form, which hides all costs and shows selling prices.   Added  built-in invoicing which allows you to create an invoice from an estimate, print or email invoices and track invoice payments. Full version only   Added QuickBooks invoicing which allows you to create a detailed or summary invoice in QuickBooks from an estimate with one click. Basically just type anything you want into an estimate. Later you can have Quick Estimator™ go through your estimates and find items that are not in your cost book and add them for you.   Added the ability to insert items in an estimate that do not show quantities or prices. These can be used to insert notes or as group headings to allow custom grouping of items. Like regular items you can add notes. Full version only   Added the ability to print barcodes on reports for customers, projects, estimates and cost book items. You can now lookup any of these by simply scanning or typing in a barcode. This feature can be switched on or off. Full version only   Added new Favorites feature to the Cost Book. You can add items you use the most to a Favorites list. When creating estimates you can choose to just select items from your Favorites list. Full version only   Added the ability to edit the category titles (Labor, Material, Subcontract, Equipment & Miscellaneous). For example you could change "Miscellaneous" to "Plants".   Added the ability to sort the categories how you want. This will apply to reports that are grouped by category. This combined with the individual item sorting gives you complete control over the way your estimates print.   When you change your default Overhead and Profit you now have the option to apply the new defaults to all existing customers. Existing estimates are not effected only new ones.   Added more ways to add items to an estimate;   Type a partial or full item name in the Item field and press "Tab" or "Enter" and the item will be looked up in the cost book. If the item is not found you will be asked if you want to add it to the cost book.   Type "*" in the Item field and press "Tab" or "Enter" to select an one or more items from your Favourites list. Full version only   Type "-" in the Item field and press "Tab" or "Enter" to add a note or custom heading. Full version only   Type an Item code in the Item field and press "Tab" or "Enter" and the item will be looked up in the cost book. (Only applies if you use Item Codes (CSI Codes))   Type an item barcode number in the Item field and press "Tab" or "Enter" and the item will be looked up in the cost book. Full version only   Scan an item barcode into the Item field using a barcode scanner and the item will be looked up in the cost book. Full version only   Click the small button to the right of the item field to open the Cost Book Item Selector from where you can add multiple items at once.   Added a Cost Book Item archive which allows you to archive items you no longer use but that you cannot delete because they have been used in past estimates. Full version only   Added a Crew Notes field to the cost book and to the line item notes within the estimate. This allows you to have different notes for your crew than the customer. Full version only   When adjusting cost book costs from the Quick Edit screen you now have the options to also adjust costs for variations of items if they exist.   When adjusting cost book costs from the Quick Edit screen you now have the options to only adjust the costs for the selected group of items.   You can now insert your logo in BMP, JPG and GIF format. You can also choose to have your logo sized to fit the available space.   The currency symbol will now change depending on the regional settings on the computer. This means there is no need for different versions for different countries. As of version 4.0 there will only be one version available.   All reports will be available in both US Letter (8.5 x 11) and A4 ( 210MM X 297MM) size. The A4 size has been added for users in Europe, Australia and New Zealand where A4 paper is commonly used.   Added supplier import / export from spreadsheet feature.   New colour scheme and navigation.   Combined most buttons and links into one Dropdown Button on each form. This removes clutter and gives a cleaner look.   Merged six lists into one page. Project Tasks, Customer Types, Project Types, Units, Lead Sources and  Tax List.   Increased the font size for line items and prices on customer estimates.   Numerous other minor changes and improvements.
