  • Added the ability to add items to an estimate that are not in the cost book. Basically just type anything you want into an estimate. Later you can have Quick Estimator™ go through your estimates and find items that are not in your cost book and add them for you.
     
  • Added the ability to insert items in an estimate that do not show quantities or prices. These can be used to insert notes or as group headings to allow custom grouping of items. Like regular items you can add notes.

  • Added the ability to print barcodes on reports for customers, projects, estimates and cost book items. You can now lookup any of these by simply scanning or typing in a barcode. This feature can be switched on or off.

  • Added new Favorites feature to the Cost Book. You can add items you use the most to a Favorites list. When creating estimates you can choose to just select items from your Favorites list.

  • Added the ability to edit the category titles (Labor, Material, Subcontract, Equipment & Miscellaneous). For example you could change "Miscellaneous" to "Plants".
     
  • Added the ability to sort the categories how you want. This will apply to reports that are grouped by category. This combined with the individual item sorting gives you complete control over the way your estimates print.
     
  • When you change your default Overhead and Profit you now have the option to apply the new defaults to all existing customers. Existing estimates are not effected only new ones.
     
  • Added more ways to add items to an estimate;
     
    • Type a partial or full item name in the Item field and press "Tab" or "Enter" and the item will be looked up in the cost book. If the item is not found you will be asked if you want to add it to the cost book.
       
    • Type "*" in the Item field and press "Tab" or "Enter" to select an one or more items from your Favourites list.
